Our Mission Statement:
Castle Tower's mission is to raise strong, healthy huacaya with excellent fleece, conformation and disposition; to continually improve the quality of fleece; to develop our small farm with an emphasis on blacks and greys into an efficient, beautiful, welcoming sanctuary for alpacas, business associates and visitors; and to assist our alpaca associates in any way we can.
Farm Description:
Our small 150 year old farm is a shady haven for our alpacas and their
visitors. Specializing in beautiful Blacks and Greys, Castle Tower is
home to both Peruvian and Chilean huacaya whose family trees include
Accoyo the Babe, Accoyo Express, Black Magic, Boadicea, Bruxo,
Bueno, Guellermo, HIgh Plains Apache, Macusani, McGwire, 6P the
Saint and Victor.
We love the creative, personally fulfilling aspect of washing, dyeing,
carding, spinning and creating finished products with much of our own
fiber and are eager to share all that with you. We are equally as excited
about being a part of the progress towards a large industry future for
alpaca fleece! As experienced teachers, we offer support in all
aspects of the care and handling of these magnificent animals. You
can count on us to help you organize and prioritize your needs as a
new alpaca business and to be there for you and for 24/7 as our own
mentors have been.
Guests are invited to get up close and personal with our fuzzy friends, and to enjoy soaking in the special alpaca 'vibe'. Give a little notice and we'll have homemade refreshments ready at the picnic table for you and your group. In our charming antique filled shop we offer a wide selection of gorgeous alpaca fiber products for sale including hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and socks, as well as raw fleece, roving and yarn. Our farm and farm store are open for you at your convenience, just give us a call!
In addition to alpaca sales we offer energy work for your alpacas well-being,
fiber, roving, yarn, finished products, lessons in beginning spinning felting and weaving;
breeding, mentoring and transportation.
